NPC - The Forger
The Forger is an NPC Merchant that offers many services from appraisal to recreating paintings, sculptures, jewellery, and other art objects as well as forging signatures and documents… all for a price.

Appraise
Appraising an Art Object definitively determines the items value but may also identify buyers who may be willing to pay much more.
Suggested effects:
A special buyer may be willing to pay upto 2x an Art Objects value but may have strings attached such as requiring delivery over large distances or complete discretion or even promises of first priority on future finds.
Forge Document
Forging a document, signature, or seal takes 24 hours and can have various effects.
Forging documents can have obvious plot driven effects, but also may have financial benefits to cunning characters as well.
Forging a signature on to a painting, or hallmarks on to jewellery can increase the value of the items, provided that the buyer does not identify the forgery. If the forgery is detected, the buyer may refuse the purchase or even contact the guards.
Suggested value increase:
10 gold + 50% of the art objects original value.
Example: An Art object worth 200 gold would increase to 310 gold.
Forge Art
Replicating an art Piece is a time consuming process, a minimum of 24 hours is needed for the work, but at the DMs discretion this may increase depending on the Art Objects value.
Suggested time required:
1 day + 1 day per 50 gold that the Art Object is worth.
Example: An Art Object worth 200 gold would take 5 days to replicate.
